There are many work days required each season to keep the track in operational condition. The good news is that many of the members will spend an hour or two at the end of the day to ride their trains. Those who are interested in these trains can learn a lot by coming out work days.
There are many activities that take place on work days. Sometimes the activities are a simple as weed eating and spraying to keep the right of way clear. At other times, we are busy hauling ballast in our freight cars and filling in the low spots. Sometime, we are busy building new track and structures.
Often, there is someone who brings lunch and helps to feed the crews that work so hard to make sure this track is in top notch shape.
So, come on out and help build the railroad. It really is a lot of fun.
All workers are always welcome.
